Nymphaea 'Marliac Albida'
Albida is one of the most popular hardy waterlily varieties sold in the United States. Its crisp white flowers span about 5 inches, framing a gold-colored stamen. French botanist Joseph Latour-Marliac created the Albida variety in the 1880s, a few years before he designed the famous waterlily exhibition at the World’s Fair in Paris. This display inspired the likes of Claude Monet, who portrayed the plants in his Les Nymphéas series of paintings.
