Nymphaea odorata var. gigantea
This North American native water lily is the parent plant to many hybrids. This large plant is one of the fastest growing lilies and prefers annual repotting. Use care when planting into an earth-bottom pond, as this lily will readily colonize large areas quite rapidly. The flowers are often held 6 to 8 inches above the water's surface.
Identified from wild stock by Tricker/Conard. Free flowering.
The Native American name for this lily is "Hopatcong".
