Typha agustifolia
As the name implies this plant has narrower leaves and catkins than Cattail which allows it a more "elegant" look as it sways gracefully in the wind. The narrower catkins are more sought for floral arrangements as well. Cut off catkins before they fall apart to avoid unwanted cattail seedlings in other plant containers in the pond. Note: Do not cut, or submerge cattail foliage below the waterline to overwinter.
